Chiara Ponticelli

An Italian native, Chiara moved to New York in 1997. Most of her career has been in luxury retail and highly creative environments in the role of planner, buyer, and merchandising manager. Having grown up in the countryside near Florence, Italy, Chiara learned to appreciate wine at the dinner table early on from local producers in Tuscany. She has transitioned into the world of wine and spirits over the past seven years; Chiara has a bartending certificate, WSET level 2 and AWC level 3 International Sommelier Guild. Along with her work at Rosenthal Wine Merchant, she assisted the opening team at Justine’s on Hudson as sommelier and floor manager. She speaks Italian, French and Spanish and enjoys art, traveling, hiking, and swimming.
