Chablis 1er Cru, “Les Vaillons”

SKU BHCV

This parcel in the “Les Vaillons” 1er cru of Chablis was planted in 1974 on calcerous Kimmeridgien soil typical of the regoin, and spans 1.21 hectares within the lieu-dit of Les Épinottes. Its southwest orientation ensures plenty of sunshine for the grapes, but true to its appellation the resulting wine remains fresh and mineral-driven.

About Domaine des Clos (Grégoire Bichot)

These are gutsy, layered wines with striking aromatic presence and phenomenal concentration—and, to boot, the Chablis is hand-harvested (a rarity in the region).
